November

Image
Just like that November arrived and Coronavirus is still here. Hopefully the vaccine will be available soon. This is just not the way life was and we don't want it to keep living like this. We are careful, not afraid but the things that we love to do we can't do  them ,yet and God only knows when will be able to, like going to Church, going to the movies,to school...I miss all of that... I just want to be able to look forward to some kind of normalcy... 😕🙁🙁

October

And just like that is October...time for soups, chili ,beef stew and apple, pumpkin pie...🥧 🥧 Halloween around the corner, then Thanksgiving and Christmas after and the year went poof! Still waiting on a vaccine or some type of cure for that devastating virus. Hopefully we are closer now.

August

Image
August came in and went out really fast! I just turned 50. Can't believe that either.  I started working on some projects. I am glad my Mom is here still. Things aren't easy in Peru.A lot of infected people with coronavirus and also a lot of deaths. It's sad. Our school district started school Monday, distance learning. But our Governor already ordered to start opening schools, they will start with small groups then will be adding more as they see how it works out. If there is not an increase on contagions then probably by the end if the year we all will be in the school buildings. Hopefully by then the vaccine is released. It's been a challenging time. But I feel blessed to still be ok here. I hope you are keeping safe and healthy. Peace to you all!💕💕

July

A new month. Coronavirus still around. Miss normal life as it was. I'll try to enjoy summer right now. 4th of July is this Saturday,a little different will be. A lot of events were cancelled this year. We'll go to our campsite. Hopefully you all have an uneventful holiday! Happy 4th of July!

So kids had their last classes last week now they started summer break. It's just sad that due to the Pandemic they weren't able to get back to school.I truly hope a vaccine is developed soon. I hope you all are doing well.

quarantine work outs

Since we started the quarantine I have been cooking up storm, some days I feel as I am just cooking the say away, doing chores. I had to run to the grocery store a couple of times for groceries and I might today ,I need to pick up some medicine. So far my kids already had a meltdown ,missing their friends, teachers at school, doing online work. Yes, this has been a huge adjustment but we are working on it. I started working out again. Doing my Zumba on YouTube. It's easy, if you have an account open a file and watch videos and choreos and whatever you like add it to a folder, name it Zumba or whatever work out you like. Stick to a schedule and it will help you going through this. How about you? How are you all doing? I hope you are keeping safe and healthy. Best wishes for you all!❤️❤️

Schools closing extended

Image
So it's been a month since schools calosed and our governor has extended it until May15th so we'll see how it works. I hope everyone is keeping safe and healthy. I really miss our old normalcy. But I definitely think this Pandemic has changed forever they way we used to lived. It will take time to get used to this new way of life. But we'll get there. Just trying to keep busy and since we have been ordered to have face masks in at grocery stores I made myself one, made out if fabric , washable and I can put in a filter .

HOLY WEEK

Image
This coming Sunday Christians around the world celebrate Palm Sunday. This Holy week that starts on Palm Sunday is a  special time for reflection, more now so since we are in the middle of this world  health crisis, i believe many will be missing their traditional services in their churches because they are closed due to lock down because of the Corona virus. I hope that we learn from this and keep doing the good things that identify us. Be kind to others, help the needed, even when you think you have nothing to offer, in this time anything little you think you might do, will count to make a change. I wish for you all good health , keep safe and healthy!

Schools remain closed in my State

As of this morning our governor has decided to keep our schools closed until almost the end of April, hopefully by then, the curve had been flattened. I pray for that to happen,in the meantime,I am out of work which is definitely impacting us economically, hopefully we will be able to keep healthy, then we can take care of our economy after that. I hope you all are keeping safe. Big hug to you all. ❤️❤️

Uncertain times

Image
As many of you know we are in a quarantine, we are in day 5 but still people are going out. Our county doesn't have any people sick as of it ,yet. I am trying to keep ourselves just at home. No going anywhere except the grocery store for food, I started missing my work...I do like my part time jobs and I miss them. I hope we'll get back sooner than it seems. I hope you all are keeping yourselves healthy. Big hug to you all!❤️❤️

Lent resolutions UPDATE

I started Lent by giving up Facebook. So far I have been successful but sometimes a habit might be harder to break than we think. But so far so good. How about you? I wasn't able to follow on my Lent resolution this year due to the CoVid19, I am trying to keep informed and trying to keep my mind away from the news too, yeah it sounds crazy, at least I am keeping busy and busy is good sometimes. So there it goes : I couldn't keep up with it...  :)

Wowzers! Has it been that long???

Image
wow it has been quite sometime since my last post. Just wanted to update my followers. It has been very busy in my household working two part times, taking care of the kiddos and doing everyday things but hopefully i can devote more time to my blog, for this year, that's one of my goals. I am still working  at my nearby school, still working as a personal support for developmentally disable adults, too. Health wise I am hanging in there,I have mostly stable days but some can be an struggle with the fatigue, but I can function so it isn't that bad. I am still working with my crochet, with my Cricut machine and lately took over knitting again, i learned how to sew, cook, knit and crochet when i was in school. I attended Catholic school in Peru and yes, you learn how to do this kind of activities there. Again sorry for not keeping up with this site, hopefully i can make it up to you all. Have a great week you all! These are pictures of some of the stuff I have worked through
